Put Your Head On A Pillow To Stay Centered.
Excessive head movement during the swing can be disastrous, not so much because your head moves but because your body moves along with it. Here's a good drill to help overcome this challenge: Place a pillow against a wall at head height. Stand at a comfortable distance from the wall, assume your typical posture, and place your head against the pillow to hold it in place against the wall. Now place your hands together holding a phantom club. Execute a practice swing, rotating your shoulders and torso around your backbone, which acts as an axis. Maintain the angle of your spine, preventing it from dipping up or down, or from side to side. Repeat this motion several times and perform this drill for a few minutes every day and you'll find that excessive head movement in your golf swing will be eliminated and your swing will improve greatly!
