Perlman is responsible for overseeing the construction, budget, purchasing, design and installation of 44 deluxe poolside rooms, 19 private Casitas, arrival center, three dining outlets, two-story spa, salon, retail boutique, ballroom and all common areas at the resort. "I chose a color palette, patterns and furnishings that reflect the rich warmth of the desert and the simple luxury typical of California resorts of the past," says Perlman. "My goal was to craft an inviting, and romantic space, with contemporary sensibilities—true relaxed luxury."

Perlman began her career as an interior designer for luxury residential clients in Los Angeles. As Design Director, she lead the $12 million renovation of the Hotel Angeleno and West Restaurant and Lounge including 211 guest rooms and suites, a lobby lounge, pool and café. Perlman graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and currently lives in Los Angeles with her husband and two children.
